WHO AM I
Puriney =purine + Y =Nucleic Acids, My Wonderland.
My real name is YAN Yun, which is easy to remember. “Y” stands for pyrimidine and “N” means random nucleotide, with “A” pairs with “U” according to Watson-Crick base paring principle.
WHAT AM I DOING
Currently I’m Ph.D candidate in Wuhan University, China, mainly focusing on RNA researches. My Ph.D mentor is Prof. Xiang-dong Fu, University of California San Diego (UCSD), CA, with deep understanding and leading perspectives towards RNA events.
NEXT MOVE
RNA will be the leading role in the future science — Synthetic Biology, thus my next move is Synthetic RNA Biology, which I’ll name, sR&B.
